I think you need to reinstall the firmware (ROM). Here is the link to download the firmware and read the flashing (installation) guide

Many threads in the MIUI forum talked about this issue. And most of them advise to reinstall the firmware (in another word, reflash the ROM) to get back the default Browser app.

      1. You can download the older ROM here: http://en.miui.com/download-226.html#325
      2. Personally, I’ve not done anything like this before. So I can’t give you a concrete step-by-step guide. But I found the steps shared by a helpful member here. Try it at your own risk.

      Cheers,

There are plenty of battery/power management apps in the Play Store. Personally, I don’t have a preference.

MIUI 5 in Xiaomi also comes with its own power management feature if you don’t prefer a 3rd party app.

Double check the configuration in the Security app > Data usage > Restrict. Here, you can disallow/allow apps from using both the wifi and mobile data.

Hi. I’m using Mi4 and i bought it last month in China.
My Mi4 didn’t come with GooglePlayStore or Mi Market. It just have the app called “An Zhi” and they told me that its the playstore for Mi4. I try to download Mi Market or GooglePlayStore like few times already but it failed. How is it?

    Thanks.

I haven’t gotten a Xiaomi phone from China before. But, I always thought the Chinese version of Xiaomi phone should have Mi Market.

Anyway, I think it’s best for you to reflash (reinstall) the firmware, you can look for the firmware and guide over here.

It sounds very impossible that your Mi 3 doesn’t come with any Internet browser. By right you should have Chrome or the stock Browser. Where have you gotten the Mi 3 from ? Is it genuine ? You can check using this app.

You can try factory reset to see if you can get back the pre-installed apps on your Mi 3. If not here are 2 suggestions:
      1. Find the appropriate ROM for your Mi 3 model and flash (install) it manual. The ROM and guide are available here.
      2. Or, find all the apk files for the missing apps in MIUI forum and install them manually.

Sorry Teja for my lack of knowledge, I don’t know what’s black mart app. Anyway, worst comes to worst, you can factory reset the phone or manually flash the MIUI rom to get everything back to normal.

Thanks for your reply Mr ethan

I have never done factory reset or flashed any ROM manually so please clarify these doubts.

If I factory reset, Google apps(especially playstore) are still available in the device or wiped off.I don’t bother about remaining apps to get delete.

Is there is any difference between factory resetting and flashing ROM in terms of performance in later usage as factory reset is just a matter of hit the reset button but to flashing ROM I need to download all tools etc .,

factory reset means it comes d way first time it came to your hand. No contacts. if it was preinstalled Google play which it is it will.

Thanks for your reply. My Mi3 didn’t come with the Mi market app or the Google play store preinstalled. For some reason it came with the Lenovo store installed. Also for some reason it runs very slowly. I managed to install the Antutu benchmark and it scored around 42000.So it has potential. Any suggestions are very appreciated. Thanks

As far as I know, Redmi from Singapore does come with Google Play installed, and I was told Redmi from China doesn’t come with it. If you would like to gain access to over 1million of apps conveniently, yes, you do need google play.
