If you wish to view the notifications on your lock screen, here are a few suggestions you can try:
i. Opening the notification panel on the lock screen
On the lock screen, you can drag the status bar downwards to open the notification panel if you’ve got the following setups:
- The Screen Lock security is set to None.
- Enable this feature by going to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings and slide the Enable on lock screen switch to the right.
ii. Using a third party to display notifications on the lock screen
According to this thread over at en.miui forum. Floatify does work well with MIUI, but not without some drawbacks. Firstly, you need a Pro (Paid) version and secondly, it only supports Android 4.3+. Hence, at the time of writing this article, you can only install Floatify on your Mi 3, but not Redmi.
Slidelock is free, and worked well in my brief test. It comes with its own swipe screen. Therefore, if you didn’t disable the built-in swipe screen on your Xiaomi device, you’ll force to swipe twice to unlock.
Read this article to find out how I got it to work.
