How to delete recording files on Xiaomi phone running MIUI V5 ?

Whether they’re phone call recordings or the recordings that are done using the Recorder app, you can delete the unwanted ones using the following 2 methods:

i. Deleting a recording using the Explorer app

When you do a recording, the file is saved in /MIUI/sound_recorder/. Whether it’s in your phone storage or external SD card depends on the model you’re having.

1. On your Xiaomi phone, find and launch the Explorer app.
2. Using Explorer, navigate to /MIUI/sound_recorder/ folder. Note: While normal recordings are saved in this folder, the call recordings are saved in the call_rec sub folder.
3. Long tap the recording file you want to delete to select it.
4. Tap  to delete it.
   

ii. Deleting a recording from the Recorder app

1. On your Xiaomi phone, find and launch the Recorder app.
2. Tap .
3. Long tap the recording file you want to delete to select it.
4. Tap  to delete it.
   

Note: The steps here were written for MIUI V5 on a Xiaomi device. If you’re having a different version of MIUI, there’s a possibility that the steps and screenshots will be different.
