Learn how to manage your SIM Card contacts on your Galaxy S7 Edge.
Note: These instructions are written with a Galaxy S7 Edge with 2 SIM cards installed, but the instructions should be almost identical for a Galaxy S7 Edge with only 1 SIM card.
i. To view the contacts in a SIM card
- Open the Contacts app.
- Tap the Menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Contacts to display.
- Select either SIM 1 or SIM 2. Note: Only if you’re using 2 SIM cards on your phone
- Your contact list will now show the contacts from the SIM card you’ve selected.
ii. To add a contact to a SIM card
- Open the Contacts app.
- Tap the Add contact button

- If this is your first time tapping the Add contact button
, you’ll see a similar prompt like below. Select a SIM card.
- Else, you can select a SIM card from the drop down menu at the top of the screen.
- Enter the name and phone number, and then tap Save.
iii. To delete a contact from a SIM card
- Follow the instructions in Section i (above) to view the contacts from a SIM card.
- Long tap to select the contact you want to delete, and then tap Delete.
iv. To copy the contacts from a SIM card to your phone/Samsung account/Google account
- Open the Contacts app.
- Tap the Menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Import/Export contacts.
- Tap Import, and then select the SIM card that you want to copy the contacts.
- Select a destination account.
- Select the contacts you want to copy, and then tap Done.
To copy the contacts from your phone/Samsung account/Google account to a SIM card
- Open the Contacts app.
- Tap the Menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Import/Export contacts.
- Tap Export, and then select the SIM card you want to save the contacts.
- Select the contacts you want to copy, and then tap Done. Note: Only names and phone numbers of the contacts will be copied to the SIM card.
