ii. Features highlighted in the launch event
The second Pocophone, POCO X2, was unveiled in New Delhi today. Poco, now an independent brand, stressed that POCO X2 isn’t a successor to the POCO F1. Instead, the X2 is the first phone of the new Poco’s X series.
a. Display
- The POCO X2 comes with a large 6.67-inch FHD+ (1,080 x 2,400 resolution) LCD display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Poco calls it the RealityFlow display.
- With a 120Hz refresh rate, you can expect smooth scrolling and gaming. But, as of now, there aren’t many games that support the 120Hz display, not even the popular titles such as PUBG and Fortnite. If you’re interested to know the 120Hz games that can take advantage of the X2’s display, see the list below shown by Poco during the launch.
- A high refresh rate display also requires more battery and processing power. And, Poco says the phone uses the Intelligent Dynamic Refresh Rate feature to optimize the battery usage by automatically lowering the refresh rate to 60Hz when the phone isn’t in use.

b. Performance
- In terms of performance, the POCO X2 features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. And, it offers three LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage configurations: 6GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage.
- To sustain peak performance, the phone is equipped with a liquid cooling system which is said to dissipate heat 300% faster than smartphones without any cooling system.
- The phone packs a substantial 4,500mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging. And, what this means is that it only takes 68 minutes to charge the phone from 0 to hundred 100%.

- On the front, you can find a 20MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
