Have you come across a problem where an app doesn’t appear in the Google Play search results of an Android device you own. But, you’re sure the app is there, because you can see it on your other devices or your friend’s device.
For example, the Hangouts Widget app appears in the Google Play search results of my Galaxy S4/Note 3 but, not on my Xperia Z1.
The reason of such an odd behavior is that the Hangouts Widget isn’t compatible with my Xperia Z1 that’s running Android OS lower than 4.3, therefore it isn’t available for me to view and install.
Since I’ve it installed on my other devices using the same Google ID as the one on my Xperia Z1, I can view it by going to My apps > All on the Google Play app.
Viewing the app from here, you’ll get to see the “Your device isn’t compatible with this version” message with the Install button nowhere to be seen.
