If the clicking sound you hear when entering text on your Redmi annoys you, then you can just disable the keypress sound.
Here are the steps to turn off the keypress sound for all the keyboards on Redmi.
i. Google Keyboard
- On your phone, find and launch the Settings app.
- Select Language & input.
- Next, tap the right arrow icon
beside Google Keyboard.
- Uncheck Sound on keypress. Note: It’s unchecked by default.
ii. Google Pinyin Input
- On your phone, find and launch the Settings app.
- Select Language & input.
- Next, tap the right arrow icon
beside Google Pinyin Input.
- Select Keyboard and then uncheck Sound on keypress. Note: It’s unchecked by default.
iii. SwiftKey
- On your phone, find and launch the Settings app.
- Select Language & input.
- Next, tap the right arrow icon
beside SwiftKey.
- Select Sound & Vibration and then uncheck Keypress sound. Note: It’s unchecked by default.
Note: The steps here were written for Android 4.2.2 on a Redmi (HM1W). If you’re having a different model of Redmi or other version of Android, there’s a possibility that the steps and screenshots will be different.
