Why is the battery charging icon grey in colour in the status bar? I’ve seen others having a green icon while charging.

I think the color and design are depending on the theme that you’re using. Try changing it back to the default theme to check whether you can get the default green color.

I have the same issue!! After a system update on my Redmi Note 5 my battery indicator/ icon changed from the colour green to grey. I find it extremely annoying because now it's very difficult to read what percentage is left (the numbers aren't clear enough). When the background was still green it was easier to read! Does anyone know if you can change the colour (back to green)?

Hello guys Redmi Note 5 battery indicator/ icon changed from the colour green to grey.

Solutions:- Go to developer option second last option Turn On MIUI Optimisation enable this option
