How to crop and adjust a photo for wallpaper on my Galaxy S8?

This is how I adjust a photo when setting it as the wallpaper on my Galaxy S8:

1. From your device’s Settings, tap Wallpapers and themes.
2. Pick a photo/image from the Gallery.
3. On the ‘Set as wallpaper’ screen, you can pinch out/in using 2 fingers and drag the photo left and right to adjust it to your preference.
4. When you’re done, tap Set as wallpaper.

Yeah doesnt work as described above. Doesnt let you put the whole picture on display

@Thomas the above steps are for cropping/cutting wallpaper to the size or part that you want to show on your phone. It’s not about using the whole picture for your phone.

If you want to show the whole picture on your phone, you try downloading the ‘Image 2 Wallpaper’ app which I tried quite a while ago. Just checked, it’s still available to download from the Google Play store. This app will let you shrink or expand your picture to be shown as a whole on your phone screen. Having said, if the picture resolution doesn’t match with your phone screen resolution. You’ll probably see (black) blank bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

The ‘Image 2 Wallpaper’ app did the job perfectly on my Galaxy S8.

image2 wallpaper is perfect

Image 2 Wallpaper will resize any image to fit - did the job the first time! Just keep in mind you can not convert a billboard to the size of a stamp and actually see detail.
