How to wake up the screen when your Mate 20 is placed on a table?

I come from a phone that features double tap to wake. I would say double tap to wake is a pretty handy feature when the fingerprint sensor isn’t located in front of the phone.

Set the phone to turn on the screen automatically when there’s an notification.

Here are some other ways to wake your phone:

1. Press the Power button - easy and always work.

2. Turn on lift to wake feature (in Smart assistance > Motion control > Pick up), and then you just need to lift your phone more than 30 degree angle to turn on the screen automatically.

3. Turn on and use Voice wakeup (in Smart assistance > voice control). Upon recognizing your voice, your phone will open up a black screen for placing calls and finding your phone using voice commands. If you've no intention to do any of these, you can tap the Back button to get to the lock screen.

4. Using Google Assistant, you can say 'OK google' to wake up and unlock the phone directly.
