Is it possible to turn on single tap mode without turning on the assistant menu on Galaxy Note 9?

Yup, this is really bad.

I really hope that Samsung can change it back to a dedicated option. Such an important function and they’ve changed it to something not usable anymore without having an extra button on the phone. Why?

Yes, get the Single tap to swipe option out of the Assistant menu and make it an independent option.

ABSOLUTELY get the single tap and assistant menu separated. The assistant men is incredibly annoying.

Probably the single most disappointing thing about my s9 after I moved from a HTC. Continually having to use the assistant menu for single tap answering and alarm silence and then having to find ways to defeat that incredibly annoying floating icon. Just now moved to android ui and it seems I gave to live with some chap doing star jumps in my notification panel wasting space just to keep assistant menu ticking in the background just to keep single tap answering instead of that very annoying default swipe requirement which I can never do when I am half asleep. MR SAMSUNG please change default phone answer and alarm dismiss to single tap so that I never have to troll through these forums to find out how to find the assistant menu and then minimize its damage to my phone experience just to keep single tap response alive. Try typing where you have to swipe every key ... damn annoying.

You have summed up exactly what I find the most annoying feature of my S9 after having moved from HTC 2 years ago. Continually having to find ways of getting rid of that annoying assistant icon in all its ever changing form after every system upgrade just to keep single touch to dismiss alarms. I am not in any way disabled but I cannot swipe when I am half asleep to silence an alarm. If this is not sorted by the 3 year mark when I will be looking to upgrade my phone I won't be buying another Samsung even though I am happy with everything else. Please take note Mr samsung and fix.

Why does it have to be a floating menu across every damn screen on your phone???? Wouldn't just one location on one screen be enough?? Why do i have to have access to the damn thing on every screen i scroll to? It is a totally ridiculous and stupid decision by whoever designed the damn thing.9-
